I have been blessed with two sons and two daughters. My prayers for the four of them have become much more specific over their lives. The basis of my prayers is the truth of the Bible, the Word of God. They are simple, but deep. I take God’s Word as literal and believe that my children, our children, will be all that He created them to be.
You may be yourself, “How do I pray for my children?”. To start, pray using their names in scripture. How easy is that? Now, this wasn’t invented by me and people have actually being using this prayer technique for a very long time. I wanted to share this with you, so that you too can call and receive great things on behalf of your children from our great Lord.
Whether you pray silently or loudly, proclaim it to your children or over their heads. This isn’t just a way to pray for your own children or kids you may have in the future, pray for those children that are already in your life and even for yourself!
Today we pray together for our children. Enter the name of your child and / or future children in an empty place and believe that God will transform them!
- Heavenly Father, I pray that the eyes of ____________’s heart may be enlightened in order that ____________ may know the hope to which God has called him, the riches of His glorious inheritance in His holy people, and His incomparably great power for ____________ who believes. (Ephesians 1:18-19) (Ephesians 1: 18-19)
- Now to Him who is able to keep ____________ from stumbling, and to make ____________ stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy, to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen. (Jude 24-25)
Make praying these prayers a daily habit by printing them out or saving them to an electronic device. Hang them up or put them on your fridge. From a mother to another, I promise you will not be disappointed.
